Restaurant Sim Hap Ke @ Taman Connaught, Cheras

As I was craving for lala, it reminds me that a friend of mine recommended this place for its famous Baked Salted Lala and 1 Pot Chicken @ 1 Tung Gai. My original plan was to order that 2 famous dishes but as there were only 2 of us, the waitress insisted that the portion is way too much. Therefore, we ended up with the following dishes minus the 1 Pot Chicken. However, will definitely revisit the place to savour the 1 Pot Chicken soon.

The main entrance of the restaurant
The Baked Salted Lala

Even though it was baked with salt, the lala meat remains juicy and thick (naturally the lala meat will shrinked a lot due to the additional salt and the process of being baked)
The Stir Fry Pig Intestine (G Sang Cheong) with Dried Shrimp and Bird's Eye Chili Pepper (Cili Padi)

This is the very first time I am trying pig intestine being stir fried but instead of disappointment, it gaves me such a big pleasant surprise that the texture of the pig intestine is so crunchy and it gives the sound of "shok shok shok" as I chew it ... thumbs up for this dish.

A close up of the pig intestine being cut into such an artistic shape.

The Braised Beancurd with Ridge Gourd (sing gwa)
The combination is great with the beancurd and the ridge gourd being braised thoroughly and yet not too soft and the gravy is so sweet from the chef's DIY sauce.
